As FLAME is Europe's largest, premier energy conference, we believe we have responsibility to lead the way in finding and implementing solutions to climate change and reducing our carbon footprint for the event. We are working with 'The CarbonNeutral Company', one of the world's leading suppliers of carbon offset the assessment, reduction, offset & communication of our carbon footprint.
The scheme allows FLAME to identify the total C02 emissions created based on the following emission sources: travel, energy consumption and waste levels, and then enables FLAME to offset them by funding high-quality offsetting projects around the world - in particular Indian Bagasse Cogeneration Project and the Rhine-Ruhr Waste Gas Power Project.
Waste Management: We have made a commitment to use sustainable paper wherever possible in all marketing & publications. We no longer publish documentation packs & use our website as preferred communications medium. However, we acknowledge we still have much more to do.
We are working with our venues & hotels to ensure they are implementing energy efficient measures and where and when they can, switching to low carbon energy supplies.
