SuperReturn International 2008 In The News:
SuperReturn International 2008 was a great success, with some of the most senior industry representatives giving their comments on the current state of the industry and offering their predictions on what lies in store for the next 12 months and beyond. The general theme focused on what a difference a year can make in this industry – and key speakers and panellists discussed practical strategies for tackling the challenges currently facing the private equity industry and for moving the sector forward in turbulent market conditions. Leon Black and Jonathan Nelson gave interviews giving tips on successfully navigating a financial market correction, and the LP perspective was offered by Leon Shahanian from CalPERS and Joseph Dear from Washington State Investment Board.
Delegates also heard from industry heavyweights such as David Rubenstein, Guy Hands, Howard Marks and David Bonderman on sometimes very controversial subjects. Topics such as Distressed, Listed private equity and improving communication and image was covered as nearly 1,600 delegates gathered in Munich for a week of meet, greet, learning and debate.
Congratulations to the Quickfire Showcase winners LayHong Lee, Eagle Capital Partners & Labi Williams, Actis! Their presentations won them free tickets to the upcoming SuperReturn US.
